“The guys from The Avenue did an exceptional job capturing our showcase in June. Their skills were outstanding, and they managed to capture the energy and excitement of the event perfectly. The footage was beautifully edited and we were so impressed with the final product. Their communication throughout the planning of the show was exceptional and they were always contactable with any questions and always really helpful. They met with us on several occasions at the studio and the venue to ensure they were up to date with the plans. We would highly recommend their services to any dance school looking for a professional videographer.”

Filming live events can be a thrilling yet nerve-wracking experience, even when fully prepared – and even then surprises are inevitable. The day involved capturing two 70-minute sets, featuring around 50 dancers and 60 songs. Coordination with the venue’s own internal sound and lighting teams was essential, as was bringing in the right equipment, understanding the day’s schedule, and managing audience logistics. Above all, staying adaptable to the unpredictable is key.
The core principle of filmmaking is to “get it in the can,” and with live events there’s no room for retakes. Capturing the fluidity of dance requires anticipating the performers’ movements and tracking them seamlessly. Later, editing the footage to recreate the live experience is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
The final product, a private streaming piece, is exclusively shared with the dancers and their families, preserving the magic of the performance for a select audience. The above link leads to a 2 mins’ promo, for which all permissions were received.

“As a campaigner dedicated to helping people quit smoking, I was looking to develop a pilot for a TV documentary that both promoted the cause and would be a great morale booster for the staff who work here at Right Vape and the community we serve. The boys at The Avenue Motion Picture Company came in and turned this into a reality, it has been a pleasure working with them! The world of vaping can be complex, and I am actively involved in numerous campaigns. The pilot has captured this and I'm impressed with the visuals, solid production values and overall great storytelling. The guys demonstrated unmatched professionalism, creativity and attention to detail, plus being highly innovative and efficient, cutting three films from the acquired footage: the pilot, a promotional video plus a staff training video. We couldn't be happier with the results. If you're looking for a video production team that combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for what they do, look no further than these guys. They’re fabulous!”

Project Brief
Ryan Michlig, director of Right Vape, is a prominent figure in the vaping industry, known for his flamboyant advocacy and expertise in e-cigarettes. A former advisor to the NHS ‘Stop Smoking’ service, Ryan has become an active campaigner on issues related to vaping, including government legislation and the roles of suppliers, promoters and health campaigners within the sector. His approach to running Right Vape is highly personalised, offering a bespoke service to nearly 500 regular customers, ensuring they find the safest and most suitable vaping product for their specific needs.
Ryan’s vision for Right Vape extends beyond retail, with plans to produce a TV documentary to educate and inform the public about vaping. However, the rapidly changing legislative landscape, including tax alterations proposed by both Conservative and Labour governments, forced a shift in strategy. Despite these challenges Ryan and his team remain committed to their mission, adapting their plans to continue serving their customers effectively.
For now, Right Vape has released a “Pilot of a Pilot,” a fun and informative short film that provides a glimpse into their operations. This project serves as a precursor to a more comprehensive documentary planned for the future, once the regulatory environment stabilises.

“The Avenue MCP’s enthusiasm was evident throughout the entire process of producing the Waendel Walk promotional video. Their direction during the voiceover session was greatly appreciated, making it an enjoyable experience. We were impressed by their commitment to capturing high-quality footage using a variety of photography devices. It was a pleasure working with The Avenue MCP team.”

Project Brief
The Waendel Walk is an international three-day event held annually during the month of May in the picturesque Northamptonshire countryside surrounding Wellingborough. It attracts thousands of walkers from across the globe, both amateur and professional. Celebrating over 40 years of history, the event has never been captured in a promotional video… until now.
The organisers approached us to create a film that would highlight the event’s considerable scale and uniquely warm spirit. This project involved extensive planning, including meetings with past and present organisers, consultations with volunteer and charity groups, and the detailed reconnaissance of multiple walking routes. A script was then developed and approved.
Filming a live event like this comes with unique challenges, as there are no opportunities for retakes, and still we captured the memorable, authentic moments. The atmosphere over the three days was welcoming and professional, complemented by the tranquil beauty of the Northamptonshire landscape.
The final video was delivered to Wellingborough Town Council, designed to serve as a timeless promotional tool to enhance the event’s visibility and success for years to come. The project not only documented the Waendel Walk, but also celebrated its enduring legacy and community spirit.

“We used The Avenue’s videography services to capture our site's first event with the aim of supporting future engagement and attendance. They spent time with us to identify our creative brief and talk us through options and considerations; from start to finish he endeavoured to ensure our requirements and expectations were met. On the day their filming team navigated around the event to capture the buzz whilst ensuring attendees who didn’t consent to being filmed were not. Post-production, they communicated throughout the process and offered alternative versions of the clips to suit sharing on different media platforms. On final delivery, the video surpassed our expectations. I would thoroughly recommend The Avenue Motion Picture Company to anyone wanting a professional service.”

They are a solid team, and as they always deliver great work that fits with our commercial objectives, their mindset is focused on the customer experience. Clear communication, fully co-ordinating with us on the creative brief, good preparation, initiative and consultation during the edit. I would recommend working with these two to anyone.”

“I have been a musician for a long time now and have played with many, many gifted players – in bands, at festivals, on the road, in the studio – you name it, I've been there, witnessing the very best in people (and some times the very not so brilliant). So when I first came across the guys at The Avenue Motion Picture Company and they explained to me their idea for a feature documentary on the live music scene in Northamptonshire, and in particular how live music creates a strong sense of community, I was keen to be involved. And I have been highly impressed with their professionalism. I never realised what was involved: the scripting, planning, organisation and execution of numerous shoots – the live music, interviews and B-roll – plus the creation of the story during the editing process. All throughout this time they put myself and the other musicians involved in the project at ease, guiding us all through the process so that we were always giving our best in the creation of a final film that we can all be proud of. Indeed, I have every confidence in these guys. So... if you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and you can find them, maybe you can hire The A-Team.”

Project Brief
Northamptonshire’s live music scene has experienced a resurgence since the impact of Covid-19, with a growing appetite for Open Mic & Jam nights. These events provide a platform for both emerging and established artists to perform their talents, fostering a sense of community and creativity.
Inspired by this revival, we are developing a feature documentary that delves into the lives of working musicians. This project aims to explore the delicate balance they navigate between pursuing their artistic passions and meeting the practical demands of everyday life. Musicians, like many artists, often face the challenge of aligning their creative aspirations with financial realities, embodying the internal struggle between the needs of the soul and the body.
This documentary seeks to highlight the resilience and dedication of musicians, who, despite the hurdles, continue to inspire and connect with people in unique ways. Their stories reflect a universal truth: music has the power to resonate deeply within us all, regardless of our ability to play an instrument. Through this project we hope to capture the essence of what it means to live the dream while paying the bills, celebrating the unique spirit of those who dedicate their lives to the art of music.

“It is vital that the next generation recognise and truly understand what it means to be creative and, if they have an affinity for it, to pursue their dreams. This fits in with our careers vision here at The Duston School and why we established the Creative Industries Day; and for the filmmaking segment we invited Daniel at The Avenue Motion Picture Company to spend time with our Year 7s. We're really pleased with how he followed through, and the feedback was immense. First he discussed with them the nature of creativity and imagination, and how these play an integral part in any success in all aspects of life. Then onto demonstrating filmmaking; and he introduced the pupils to the nature of story and how the numerous skills & professions that contribute to a movie or TV production all play a part in bringing a film project to life. A real eye-opener. We fully appreciate the clarity and passion he brought to the day, thank you.”

Our session centred on analysing the script to the classic movie,Dead Poets Society. A film script is the blueprint for how the various professionals within the industry – ie., the director, actors, camera & lighting teams, set designers, prop masters, costume designers, make-up artists,et al– interpret and go about executing their roles, as each makes his or her vital contribution to the overall production.
The event was a roaring success, culminating in an engaging Q&A session with the students.
